On the occasion of the Domainer’s Meeting of Mardi Gras at New Orleans, DI S.A sold Voodoo.com for $300,000 in live auction. We bought this domain a few weeks ago for $31,000, ie almost ten times cheaper.
According to Markus Schnermann, the co-Managing Director, DI S.A obtained this price because New Orleans is the world center of voodoo cult: if the auction would have been in another place, the sale of Voodoo.com would certainly not have reached this amount. The buyer was an American domainer, good known in the domain world.
